The Challenge.

EPIC Regeneration Services approached us to create an event for the Bentilee Community Housing development in Stoke-on-Trent that would attract local people to the launch of new sporting and leisure facilities for the estate as well as gaining positive media coverage on behalf of the company.

+ The Solution.

Grisdale Lesniak Swann came up with the idea of the 'First World Park Olympics', a series of oddball sports events involving the local community on the day of the launch. Events included frisbee-throwing, dog-stick throwing, five-a-side football with all five players roped together and park bench hurdling.

= The Results.

The launch day attracted an attendance of over 1000, while £12,000-worth of media coverage for the event was generated from a mere £1000 spend in local press, on local radio and in the specialist regeneration media.
